President Harding has summoned Congress to meet in a Special Session on April 11 to consider new Republican laws. Tariff legislation is expected to take priority, echoing Taft era debates, while uncertainty remains about the final agenda and influence of campaign fund advisors.

Hugh A. Stevens and J. W. Van Pelt of Clark County toured local Jersey breeders on Wednesday and Thursday seeking pure bred Jersey cattle. Stevens runs a Speed Cement Company dairy farm near Sellersburg. Van Pelt owns a farm near Charlestown. They presented tuberculosis free certificates from the U S Department of Agriculture valid for one year after tuberculin testing.

Edward LaDuke of New Albany, a brick mason who worked in Florida, faces total blindness after an eye injury weeks ago. He was struck in the eye by a nail while driving on a scaffold. the eye was removed and his other eye is deteriorating. He is on the way home and expected to arrive soon.

Willard Rosenbarger a Spencer township farmer died suddenly in his buggy along Market street Corydon last Wednesday afternoon. Observers saw him collapse after leaving Charles Evans' blacksmith shop. Dr. Martin could not help, and the body was prepared for burial at W. H. Rowe’s establishment before being moved to the Rosenbarger home for services at Fountain AB church. He was 65, survived by wife two sons a daughter two grandchildren and a brother. He was a longtime Odd Fellows member and esteemed by the order.
W A Ostrander from Purdue and nine Indiana county agents joined Southern Railroad officials and Louisville Cement Company officers at Mitutown to plan cheaper, wider distribution of agricultural limestone in the region. The group discussed lower freight rates and convenient home delivery for farmers using local chipping points. A brief note adds a mention of Snow White bread at Miles Variety Store.
