Another Harrison County Soldier Returned for Final Rites
David C. Woodward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Woodward, arrived in Corydon from overseas and was laid to rest at New Amsterdam. Services were led by Rev. L. J. Sherrill, with a military funeral by Harrison Post No. 123 American Legion. The 42nd Rainbow Division soldier fell near Sedan, France, on November 10, 1918. He is survived by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters.

Mrs Katherine Arnold Dies at Ramsey Home
Mrs Katherine Arnold widow of John S Arnold died after long illness at her daughter Mrs Harry Daviss home near Ramsey. She was 64 and survived by two daughters a granddaughter six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral at the residence Wednesday conducted by Rev Battram of Oakland City with burial in Arnold cemetery near Ramsey.

Bailey Divorced Couple Remarry in City
Harry Bailey and his divorced wife Mrs Edna Bailey wed again in the city on a Friday night. He previously killed Mrs Julia Bierly and her daughter Miss Leona Klein at East Fourth and Main streets on October 24 1917. Bailey received a manslaughter sentence of two to twenty one years in the Indiana Reformatory at Jeffersonville, served minimum term, and was paroled. a divorce suit was pending and a decree followed weeks later.

Young Woman Dies After Prolonged Illness
Miss Laura Claudina McRae, aged about twenty two, died Saturday April 3 at Waverly Hill Lunarium in Louisville after a long battle with tuberculosis. Her remains were taken to Elizabeth for burial after services at the Presbyterian church. She was one of six children of Claud McRae and his wife. Surviving sisters include Edna McRae of West Point and Esther Bennett of Williamsville, with Mona Halli and Hilda Kelley also listed. She graduated Corydon High School in 1919.

Rev M A Cossaboom pastor of Corydon Christian church left for Dayton Ohio to spend a month aiding in the Near East Relief Campaign. The congregation granted him a leave of absence to engage in relief work. Mrs Macy Thompson died Friday morning April 1 at Cedar Farm Boone township aged 38 leaving husband and ten children.

Miss Goldie McBride died after a four week illness at seventeen. She is survived by her parents, one sister Mrs Virgie Pichop of Latham, and a brother Curt Ace Uride of the county. Funeral services were held yesterday at Otterson Church and burial followed in the church cemetery.
