Clarence Hendrick will sell his personal property at a public auction at his residence on the Reinhard Ferock farm three miles northwest of Corydon Junction in Morgan township on Friday March 18 1918. The sale includes a work horse Jersey cattle several milch cows a yearling heifer various farming implements feed and equipment and numerous smaller articles. Sale begins at ten o clock with Herman Fessel as auctioneer.

American Soldiers Battle German Raiders Near Toul
German raids on American troops north of Toul on March 1 left nine Americans dead ten seriously wounded and four lightly wounded. In another raid last Saturday the Germans caused damage while American forces repelled the attack and fought well. Miss Grace May Louden daughter of Joseph P and Mary Catharine Louden of Spencer township died Sunday March 3 at Deaconess Hospital Louisville after a failed appendicitis operation. Born December 22 1879 she was 39. Survived by brothers Ollie M Denver Colorado Edward Chicago Ill and sister Florence Spencer township. Funeral at Thompson's Chapel March 6 at 2:30 conducted by Rev W A Hartsow. She joined the Methodist church at age eleven and led a devout Christian life.
