Shoots at Her Father in New Amsterdam Tragedy

In New Amsterdam, 24 year old Hallie Matthews reportedly fired a single barrel shotgun at her father Halleck Matthews in his room. He deflected the shot, the pellet passing through a bed head and into a wall. Observers say she, distressed by rumors of his remarriage to a woman of ill repute, appeared in frenzy and may have intended to shoot herself if the first shot had not missed.

The second annual Camp meeting of the Harrison County Holiness Association will be held at Ramsey July 21 to 31. Leading workers include Ray D. E.
