Crowds filled the Elizabeth MoE church last Thursday for the installation of Elizabeth Ladeel OOBF officers from Croye lodge. Officers installed included N.G. C. A. Drillett and V. Go Thomas Onion, with a reception at the lodge hall featuring speeches, singing, and a large supper hosted by the Daughters of Rebecca.
The Cumberland Telephone and Telegraph Company thanks Corydon customers for past support and pledges to maintain low rates and high reliability. It notes improved switchboards and long distance service, warns against long term contracts by rivals, and outlines plans to extend county service to bona fide subscribers at no extra charge.

Jacob Hiser and his daughter Miss Lizzie of Ramsey visited the county seat on Monday and called at the newspaper office.
After weeks of illness, Mrs Catharine Walter aged 64 wife of Jacob Walter of Jackson township died Thursday night. She leaves a husband and three children Jacob Walter Jr Charles Walter and Mrs Lizzie Stanton of San Francisco. She was a member of the U B church. Funeral Saturday at Bethlehem burying ground conducted by Rev J M Fowler.

At a stockholders meeting last Friday the Bank of Corydon elected G. W. Applegate as president C. M. Miller as vice president W. B. Slemons cashier and G. W. Applegate Jr assistant cashier. A six percent dividend was declared and stock transfers occurred. A. W. Jenkins, formerly Southern railway conductor, was promoted to distant trainmaster over Rockport Cannelton and Evansville branches.
