Way County offices report busy activity as Ohio firm seeks plastics workers and lawmakers discuss tax rules for cross state deliveries. Indiana tourism plans advance with area funds matches while Lincoln Boyhood Park attracts tens of thousands. The January term of Harrison Circuit Court opens this week with Judge C Bliss Eskew listing a crowded calendar. State cases against Kalis Morgan Romine Dean Watson Carter and Lohmeyer Bailey McKim McAdams plus a complaint on account by Albert Caproni against The Early and Daniel Company are noted. County government actions include county assessor changes and numerous court-house contracts and appointments for 1967.
Harrison County Fairmen attend Indiana Association of County and District Fairs meeting in Indianapolis. Timberlake serves on the Resolutions Committee. Arrangements made for a full day circus and Porter Wagner TV Show at the 1967 Harrison County Fair with Fiesta rides.
Sheriff Joe Kessler announced the appointment of Joe Ponder of Palmyra and Bill Wright of Laconia as Deputy Sheriffs. He said the move, in cooperation with State Police and Corydon Town Marshals, aims to enforce the law and prosecute violators, including vandals, with sufficient active help.
Adult Education offers U. S. History with Ralph Cato and Bookkeeping with Phyllis Wolfe. Classes began Tuesday night and enrollments may continue through the week. Meetings are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m.
Vandals damaged Corydon's E. A. Parks Chevrolet by starting four cars to vent fumes into an upstairs apartment, nearly harming Mr and Mrs William Mathers. Police and town leaders vow cooperation with the state police to curb a wave of break-ins across Corydon, with overtime patrols and undercover work planned.

The Rural Area Development Committee will hold its annual meeting at Wilson Houser's Restaurant in Palmyra on Thursday February 16. Banquet begins at 7 00 p m Tickets are $2 00 and available from committee members Purdue University's Henry Wadsworth will be guest speaker discussing factors influencing the location of industry.
U S Marine Corps Commandant congratulates Foster C LaHue a Corydon native on his promotion to Brigadier General following approval of the Marine Corps selection board. LaHue born Sept 2 1917 in Corydon Indiana is a DePauw University BA and GWU MA MS graduate, now stationed at the Pentagon with wife Marsha and their son Larry. Sally his daughter attends Parson College.
