South Boone residents hosted Thanksgiving guests from nearby towns including Miss Maud Hayes and family, Burrell Forbes, Wayne Cunningham, Hewitt Fo Cunningham, and Joseph Brown. The Ladies Aid of Laconia planned a sale event on Saturday December 0 at their bathhouse with dinner and supper, and Rev. Rosier of Maenkport began a protracted meeting at the MEL Church. A new baby named Helen Beat Rice was born to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Deene, and Anna Belle to Mr. and Mrs. Pierce. Radio concert broadcasts and a four-page supplement from Miles Variety Store offer latest news and ads for local businesses and services.
Fifty relatives and friends met at Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Goode home to celebrate Mrs. Goode and Mr. Al Cline birthdays. Attendees included numerous families from Louisville and New Albany. The event closed with wishes for future occasions and a December sale note listing livestock and equipment to be sold at Clarence Patterson's sale on December 8.

Mrs M H Hawkins of this place renewed her Democrat subscription last Wednesday. An accomplished musician and music instructor in Corydon she has taught instrumental music for years. Her recent return from a three week southern visit is noted as well.
Albert Denhart eighteen son of Mr and Mrs John Denhart of Palmyra accidentally shot his right arm while out hunting last Friday afternoon. He and Arvil Alumeraida were about three miles from home when the wound occurred. The injury is described as partial between the wrist and elbow. Des Roberts and May attended him and advised transfer to the Deneconess Posnitab in Geonis ville for care. He will stay about three weeks. His sister Mrs desse Radi is with him.
The Democrat urges readers to study Christmas advertisements in the December 13 and 20 issues. Businessmen are invited to use space to invite shoppers and showcase their wares before Christmas.
Clarence W. Patterson will auction his personal property at his residence midway between Corydon Junction and Ramsey next Friday December 8, 1922. The sale includes four horses four head of cattle two Duroc hogs and a large lot of farm machinery and implements. See display in this issue of Democrat.
Andrew Dodge known as Jack died Sunday evening at 7 30 after a long illness. He died at the home of Jacob Poe in Washington county where he lived. His wife had died years ago and he left no children. Funeral services were held at Horner's Chapel Tuesday afternoon.

The Harrison County Indiana Board of Commissioners proposes issuing bonds of Posey Township for $4 000 to fund the construction of a free gravel macadam road, as petitioned by Jacob Rondenbush and others. The bonds will bear 5 percent interest from date and total 87 in number.
