Dividend day at Corydon National Bank sparks town bustle
On Monday depositers gathered after dividends paid by the defunct Corydon National Bank. A thirty five percent payout was issued to non stockholder creditors. The bank closed February 20 and the last report dated January 6 1922 showed deposits of 735596.60 for checks and 308193.31 in time deposits, with rumors of deposits near 899000 at closure.

Death of Jesse White in New Albany

Murder Trial At English Ends In Acquittals
A four day trial at English last week involved Fred Franz Earl Franz and Setzer Myer accused of stabbing Harve Brumitt at Leavenworth on November 27 1921. Brumitt later died in New Albany. All three defendants were acquitted and are Leavenworth residents.

William Strausburg Miller sixty four. died at his daughter Sallie Goblston's home in Union Springs Alabama last Wednesday December 6 at age eighty four following age related infirmities. He lived most of his life in Corydon working as an accountant and auditor and served as county auditor.
