Musical instrument dealer The Conrad and Son Piano Company promotes a stock list from Corydon and New Albany. The message hints at a fine stock to select from with emphasis on pianos and related instruments.
Frank Self reports Indiana Republican editors will visit Corydon June 10 for a social itinerary highlighting the Old Capital and nearby historic sites. The event aims to showcase hospitality, with plans for cave visits and photo opportunities, drawing an estimated 300 guests including editors, spouses, and local Republicans.
Wilford H. Lone born April 30 1875 in Harrison County Indiana moved to Ash Grove Missouri with his parents in 1885. He served as bookkeeper at Rogers Plumbing & Supply Co since 1903 and was active in Masonic IOOF and church circles. He leaves parents J A Lone and Mary E Lone sister Ida Graham brothers Marshall T Lone Ed C Lone and William H L of Ash Grove. He carried two life policies with Mutual Aid Union totaling 1362.50.
A report from Argenta Illinois notes Wm Kaufman purchased property in Argenta. The scene includes family visits, church services by Rev L T Taylor, and multiple social calls among residents including the Kaufman, Ring, Taylor, Bulmyer and Wright families. One scarlet fever and one typhoid fever case are reported in Argenta during the period.
Chafee E L Steepleton, aged 54, died April 18 after illness at his home 2233 South Avenue Terre Haute. Survived by wife Emma and five children Harry Stephen Clifford Gertrude and Zola and three grandchildren Albert William and Margaret. He formerly lived in Boone township and Corydon. Relatives in the county will be grieved.

Homer Keen of Posey township attempted a jewelry theft at J. J. Zollman in Lanesville on a Tuesday afternoon. He fled on foot and horse before being overtaken by a posse and later arrested in Corydon. Authorities charged him with grand larceny and desertion from the U S Army. His mother and family are distressed over the incident, attributed to whiskey.
