The Acts of the 1915 legislature, containing 191 new laws, are in force after Governor Ralston’s proclamation. Most laws took effect April 27, with emergency clauses triggering immediate effect. Secretary Homer L. Cook distributed 15,656 copies to 92 court clerks for public access.
About three months ago Rev. 8 S Turley of Grammer started a revival at Sardina in the old Presbyterian church building. Eight weeks drew 63 new U B converts and a worship home. the renovated church will gain a belfry bell and fresh paint at a cost near five hundred dollars. Rev Tarley, who once lived near Corydon, has earned a strong ministry record.
Providence Journal notes Jack Johnson was knocked out on a recent afternoon while the veteran Adam remains active in the ring. The paper recalls curious callers from bank presidents to a divine and a charitable East Side lady seeking results, amid a humorous world of boxing and sale notices. Also advertised: a 107 acre Boone township farm for sale near Laconia with a six room house, barn, springs, and timber, offered on easy terms.
An Indiana town removed a cemetery to free space for the living. Over 1100 remains were exhumed and moved for burial elsewhere at $16 per body. The piece defends sentiment against cremation and commends humane respect for the dead.
The United States Civil Service Commission announces an examination for Harrison County Indiana to fill rural carrier positions at Elizabeth and other county post offices. Held in Corydon on May 22 1915 the open to male citizens domiciled in the county with Form No 1977 requirements. Applications may be obtained from local offices or the Commission in Washington and should be forwarded promptly.
Mr Charles W Moores recounts how his grandfather Samuel Merrill who served as Treasurer of Indiana led a caravan with records funds and John Douglass the State Printer in 1825 when the capital moved from Corydon to Indianapolis.

Fisher and Tom Taggart to the cross state commission while cities from South Bend to Bloomington vie for stations and routes toward Louisville and Cincinnati.
George C. Simler and John Garing escorted Homer Reed to Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis last Wednesday to claim a reward for returning Keen a two year army deserter. Keen faced theft charges in Corydon after alleged watches taken in Lanesville. Simler and Garing received a $50 check for their actions.
Southern Railway announces schedule changes effective Sunday May 2 1915 for east and west bound trains. Westbound Train No 29 from Corydon Junction alters departure to 10 AM and 6 50 PM. Elkhart Indiana held a local option election on April 26 with 5088 votes cast, 108 more than the last election though the wet majority fell 197 votes from two years ago. The city lists twenty two saloons in the results.
