The Chicago Group plans to vote its Eureka shares in favor of selling Eureka Telephone Company to Continental Telephone Company of St. Louis. Eureka shareholders face an April 29 vote. transfer terms swap about 20 Continental shares for each Eureka share, subject to FCC and PSC approvals.

Grandson of Mrs. Wells Receives Silver Star
John W. Libs, son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Libs of Evansville, earns the Silver Star for extraordinary heroism April 11, 1966 in Vietnam. As platoon leader during a search and destroy mission his unit faced heavy Viet Cong fire. He supervised evacuations, helped repel the attack, and fired a machine gun after the gunner was wounded.
