Oil Creek flood project eyed for recreation lakes
Crawford County officials discussed a $2 million Soil Conservation Service plan to build ungated dams on Oil Creek tributaries, creating up to 500 acre permanent lakes at Mystic Park and nearby areas. The project would reduce flood damage and may boost recreation with year round water in some sites.
