Gas Station Bandits Target Warren Co in Auto Theft
A Jamestown car theft led to a Warren County hold up at the Yes Station on Pennsylvania Avenue West, where two men robbed operator William Culbertson of 65 dollars. Shot at in Sheffield and Kinzua as officers pursued, the greenish blue sedan fled toward Jamestown with two suspects. Police in multiple towns issued alerts as the investigation continued.

Corry Residents Drawn for Erie Jury Service
Several Corry residents were drafted for the Erie County November term criminal court juries. Leo McCarthy was chosen for the grand jury, the only local grand juror. Three Corry residents, F A Cooper Shamburg and CF Brown, were picked for the traverse jury. Jury commissioners Dennis Shier and Lea Monahan along with Sheriff Thomas G Sterrett selected twenty four grand jurors and eighty four traverse jurors. The November term commenced on a Sunday.

Kane Manhurt truck crash and new post office planned
Kane, Sept. 26. Leo J. Campbell, manager of the Sterling Oil Company here, was seriously injured when a Baseline truck delivering gasoline crashed into a bridge. He suffered brain concussion, scalp lacerations, chest contusions, and was taken home after treatment. The cause may have been gasoline fumes. the cab was closed due to cold weather with no ventilation. Separately, post office officials announced a contract with Farmers and Merchants Bank to erect a new two story post office between North Michael and North St Marys streets. The building will house the post office on the first floor and the Industrial Service Company on the second floor.
