Corry High School honors 23 women in nurses' aide program
A morning reception in the home economics room at Corry Area High School celebrated 23 local women who earned certificates for completing a nurses' aide training course under the Manpower Development Training Act with cooperation from the Manpower Advisory Council. Instructors were Mrs. Josephine Sherman and others. hostesses included Mrs. Richard Dittman and students who served refreshments.

The Carter Hall Ladies Aid held a recent meeting with 11 members. Mrs. Morris led the session and devotions were given by Mary Morris. They scheduled an annual harvest dinner for November 15 with a film entertainment. On election day November 5 they will sell soups and chili. each member should donate two pies. An all day meeting is planned for October 5 with husbands invited to lunch. a quilt will be tied in the afternoon.
