CONEAUT Ohio AP Stewart L Udall endorsed U S Steel's proposed steel mill on the Ohio Pennsylvania border. He urged welcoming the plan to build a modern low polluting plant. The project could cost 3.5 billion dollars and employ 8000 workers plus 2000 service jobs, with 7.5 million tons of steel yearly, but Udall questioned locating near unemployed workers and demanded strict pollution controls.
