Cost of Caring for Relief in County Soars
Erie ct 24 Relief of needy persons in Erie county will cost almost 4 million dollars yearly. Acting chairman Rollo McCray said grocery order food distribution costs about 70 thousand weekly, totaling 4.4 million annually, with poor directors spending around 260 thousand yearly. The grocery order system may be costly but advocates argue its redeeming features, while the new system lets relief recipients choose foods. A younger system's cost may drop as it matures, with confusion over verification of the 70 thousand figure.
