New Speaker Irvis Gets New Rug for Office Change
HARRISBURG AP Rep K Leroy Irvis, newly moved to a larger speaker’s office, added a rust colored rug to replace a worn gold one. A secretary said the change was practical, not for show, as Irvis keeps humor alive from the high chair. Gov Shapp’s cabinet, in late term, shows few departures with 21 of the original 24 still serving, four left for other jobs, one health related quit, and minimal firings. The admin proclaims October as Country Music Month and promotes Boost Pennsylvania Week plus Restaurant Month.

He described paying the magistrates the amounts demanded, while prosecutors noted other trials pending and questioned the credibility of his past Guilty pleas and alleged coverups.
