A special committee of Corry area teachers to plan American Education Week observance in Corry area schools from November 8 to 14. Thomas R. Shupe will head the committee with Watson, J. Donald Watson, Antoinette Battessi, Paul Claypool, Benjamin Calderone, and Mrs. Elizabeth Watson among its members. The event, sponsored by the National Education Association and partners, aims to show what schools are doing and that good schools are citizens’ responsibility. Nationwide, more than 22 million parents are expected to visit their schools during the week. The local committee is already organizing the plan.
