The United States has resumed its military aid program to the neutralist Laos government and will pay soldiers who helped install it. The physician, born in Poland, had left the Philadelphia Orchestra in 1934 to pursue medicine.

Erielte Germ Silk 18 of Mina N Y died at Hamot Hospital Erie from injuries after a pickup driven by Silk went out of control on Route 430 in Mina noon yesterday. Deputy Sheriff Don Szejbka said the crash occurred on a curve and Silk rolled down an embankment. A 1960 Academy High School graduate Silk delivered for D C Sullivan Novel Co in Erie. He was taken to Wellfield Memorial Hospital then transferred to Hamot Hospital with a fractured pelvis and internal injuries.
Sarasota Florida report says Ma Gen Paul Bi Malone aged 88 former commander of the 3rd Army has died. He served in World War II and later held senior posts before retiring to Florida where he passed away on Sunday.
Vice President Richard Nixon travels from western New York to Florida for a clash with Senator John F. Kennedy. He labels Kennedy a double-talker and denounces any idea the United States would not defend Quemoy and Matsu.
