Elma Burdick seven year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Clyde Burdick Union City R D 6 was seriously injured when struck by a car near her home east of Union City this afternoon. At Corry hospital at 415 pm she was reported to have head injuries a possible arm fracture and cuts and bruises. Driver’s name not learned.
The State Federation of Pennsylvania Women rejected further daylight saving time recognition at a Department of the American Home meeting. Mrs. John M. Phillip of Pittsburgh urged caution, citing moral concerns and later dances. Officers will be elected tomorrow with nominees including Mrs. John A. Epic and Mrs. Am bhrose N. Diehl.
Ralph Wagner 89 of 1908 State Street faces possible charges after he allegedly beat 17 year old Arthur Parker at 1901 State Street. Parker died this morning at St Vincent's Hospital from injuries sustained Thursday afternoon when Wagner entered the home.
