Prosecution Nears End In Henderson Trial
In a lengthy My Lai case in Fort Meade Maryland Colonel Cran K Henderson faces charges of concealing civilian killings and lying to probes. Brig Gen Samuel W Koster testified Henderson claimed only 20 civilians died in the March 16 1968 sweep and blamed artillery gunships and small arms fire. The trial seeks to determine whether a larger coverup occurred and why higher command was not informed.
