School Hecklers Pose Problem For Educators
Youths out of school or playing hockey have upset Corry area schools with incidents at Conelway School. State Police were called when four youths disrupted classes and heckled elementary students. The four’s names were given to the high school admin. No prosecutions announced yet. Similar issues have occurred at Wattsburg High School where a youth was charged with reckless driving after disrupting the parking lot. The district plans to review policy on barring non students. Drivers Hit Odd Roads And Bridges In Series Of Crashes
Several unrelated crashes occurred in the region. A Ashville man James Donelson, 21, suffered minor injuries after his car hit a pole, cross a highway, hit a haystack, and totaled his 1971 vehicle on a rural road near Bear Lake. Harley Hall, 23, of Corry escaped injury when his car struck a bridge abutment and hung over railroad tracks. At Columbus, Lengel, 61, of Deposit and trucker Daniel le Baldwin, 22, of Little Genesee avoided a collision but two vehicles damaged berms with minor damage totals. Total damages approached several thousand dollars.
