Big German dirigible nears Lakehurst as cars collide

Several injured in late Saturday crash three miles east of Ripley New York when Cy Glendenning of Weal Dover Ohio and George Ward of Corry Pennsylvania swerved to avoid a parked vehicle and struck head on. Glendenning and his wife were taken to Hartford hospital with the husband confined. Ward and relatives suffered serious injuries with Ward sidelined by a back injury.

Curtis-Borah Open Campaign Through South

Curtis Borah travel plan shows Curtis and Borah touring the southern states beginning in Tennessee and Virginia with stops in Richmond Raleigh and other cities. Borah will speak in Richmond tonight and travel to Charlotte Chattanooga Louisville and Dallas before returning to Washington. Curtis will follow into the South with Raleigh as a key stop and then head east along the seaboard before heading to Topeka.

Car Struck by Hit Run Driver West of City

A Jordan sedan driven by Robert Keppel and a Chevrolet touring model were involved in a collision on Roosevelt highway near the city around 3 30 PM. The hit and run driver fled after the crash injuring Keppel and Eleanor Hand but sparing them more serious harm.

City Council Meets Tonight Over Delayed Street Paving

City council plans routine session as paving of Spring Street between South and Pleasant remains stalled awaiting state approval of a proposed street improvement bond issue. Hassell and Cramer Return From Europe

Bert Hassell and Pane Cramer, two fliers who attempted a trans Atlantic flight from Rockford, Illinois, to Stockholm, Sweden, returned from Europe aboard the steamer Friedrich VII at Hoboken. Motorcade to Visit Corry In Roosevelt Tour

Eight of ten Corry automobiles will join the Roosevelt Highway motorcade at Warren tomorrow afternoon and proceed to Erie with boosters. C F Brown of the Roosevelt Highway Association has secured local support and banners have been prepared. The boosters will leave Corry early, parade through the business section, then travel to Warren and Temes for dinner and an evening meeting. Citizens may contact Mr Brown to participate.
