The Corry Public Schools board approved non resident tuition at 64 dollars per month for elementary and 95 dollars per month for Junior and Senior High, aligning with actual annual costs around 960 and 974 dollars respectively. Enrollment figures show 676 in grades, 848 in Junior High, and 389 in Senior High, with Concord township contributing the largest non resident pupil total.

Five teachers were chosen to lead the Instruction including G Carl Wengert Jon F Connors William Myers John W Grable and Paul Strong. Wissinger will earn 2.50 per hour and the teachers 2 per hour with classes two or three evenings weekly. President Morton opposed the appointment and controversy arose over Penn State defense training classes and weekly hour limits under a reimbursement clause.
The 60 ton Norwegian vessel Busko, seized by the U S Navy off Greenland, arrived in Boston aboard the Bear. About 20 crew were taken ashore for immigration processing and the ship was taken to the Boston Navy Yard. Washington sources suggested the seizure could show Nazi attempts to establish weather and military listening posts in Greenland.
Fairhaven residents will tour a model house at the Fairhaven New Fen al housing development in Anti Corry on Sunday, October 2. Thomas McCoy says only one unit will be furnished while full structure access will aid prospective tenants.
