Roosevelt Highway caravan to visit city next Tuesday

A caravan of Roosevelt Highway boosters and motorists will visit the city Tuesday and Wednesday next week. The tour starts at the eastern end of the highway with arrivals expected in Corry late October 1st, then proceeds to Erie for an evening meeting. Child Struck By Auto Leaves Girl Crushed Hip in Wattsburg Yard

Two and a half year old Eva Brumagin remained in Corry hospital in critical condition with a crushed hip after a car backed from a driveway and passed over her in a Wattsburg area yard. Her father Earl Brimagin was backing the vehicle. In Union City, 18 year old Lester Danner suffered a badly fractured shoulder during a football scrimmage and was treated at Corry hospital by Dr. Bennett. The week’s highway work report notes 25.20 miles of improved highways underway, bringing this year’s total to 368.90 miles.

Arm breaks in fall at Glyndon home

Mrs. Verne Fuller of Glyndon suffered a fracture of the right arm in a fall at her residence. She was moved to the home of Miss Emma Linscott in this city. The injury is near the shoulder and may affect her for life.
