Columbus Officials Rebut Forecast Of Deficit By Bill Eaton

Columbus Township supervisors dispute a newspaper report claiming a $130000 year end deficit. Secretary Christensen and two other supervisors say Miller’s figures misstate costs such as 40000 for road work 84000 for snow equipment and 30000 for a new fire truck. They contend millage has been stable for 20 years and budget debates focus on Miller's requests and math rather than an actual shortfall.
