Emmanuel Camp Fire Festival at Camp Sharpley
The women of Emmanuel church plan a Camp Fire Festival at Camp Sharpley next Tuesday evening from four to ten. About two hundred people are expected. Attendees will wear masks and costumes. Corn roasts and outdoor activities are planned with strings of color lights near the camp grave. The meeting last night finalized all preparations for what may be a premier society outing in years.

Pearson Tried to Escape and Was Killed in Prison Camp

City Holds Sale of Lots After Municipal Tax Lien
The city conducted a morning sale of real estate to settle tax liens. The Beh property sold to G. P. Northrow for 2410 dollars, the Bear Creek lot to HL Wilkinson for 75 dollars, and the Haten steal Tot parcel to Jerry Sullivan for 102.50 dollars. City officials including Commissioners Howard Brown City Solicitor Kincaid Treasurer Postlethwait attended as W. S. Powers conducted the auction. More city property may be offered soon.

The Pennsylvania Railroad has secured a goodeutart on the erection of a big 68 lever interlocking plant at the junction. Concrete foundations are well along. The system will be the most modern railway control and switching setup in the area, located just west of the current tower at the junction.

Reports from North East say Corry sent the largest delegation to a war day parade with two hundred men in Mine.
