Evidence Heard In Wing Case At Erie Court
Commonwealth witnesses testified in Erie today in the Wing case. George Wing of Concord township pleaded not guilty to charges of felonious assault with intent to kill the child’s mother and of assaulting his year old nephew, George Laverne Orm bee. The trial heard testimony from Patrolman Rappers burg and others, stemming from a quarrel with Wing’s sister that led to gunfire injuring the child and the mother.

Two Auto Accidents Reported In North Corry
North Corry saw two automobile accidents over the weekend with no injuries reported. A Maxwell touring car driven by Kenneth Graham collided with an Overland coach near Center Street near the Van Tassell filling station. A Ford and a Willys Knight collided near East Columbus Avenue, causing minor damage but no injuries. Milton Garren, payroll clerk from Turtle Creek, was arrested in Pittsburgh awaiting extradition after disappearing last Friday amid a missing $15,000 payroll theft report.

Auto Fails to Make Curve at Fentonville

Mayor Olin W Bracken announced that weather permitting Pleasant Street will be reserved for coasting from 7 to 8 PM tonight and on other weeknights except Saturdays and Sundays. Parole Youths Arrained In Court Today
Parole youths arrested weeks ago in a city burglary spree appeared in Erle court this morning. They faced charges of breaking and entering larceny and receiving stolen goods, with pleas of guilty or punishment pending. Seizure of Still Spotted in Private Moonshining Raid
Frank Miller relied on West Washington Street to make a small yearly quantity of liquor for private use. Police visited his home around 2:90 this afternoon on a tip and found a five gallon still in the cellar, with ranch and about a quart of finished product. Miller was arrested for operating a disorderly house. he pleaded guilty but sentencing was deferred. The case continues later today. Casen, a victim of a Pentonville automobile crash, had worked for Fuller Brush in Corry and stayed with Mrs. Gordon on East South Street.

Clemenceau is laid to rest in woodland grave
Georges Clemenceau was buried standing in accordance with his wish though his family overruled it. The simple oak casket was lowered into a freshly prepared woodland grave amid military salutes and a brief ceremony. Only close friends and family attended as gendarmes kept back crowds. Floral tokens included faded blue blossoms given in 1917 and offered by Basil Zaborosh.

A Rex Theatre crowd estimated between 1200 and 1500 watched the Corry Credit Exchange draw 100 winning numbers for free turkeys valued at 10 pounds.
