Bid To Dinner Saves Man's Life
JAMESTOWN An invitation to dinner probably saved the life of Warren Archer 20 of Jamestown yesterday afternoon. Archer was found unconscious in the house by firemen and revived by the city ambulance crew before he was taken to WGA Hospital. Five firemen and the first aid unit were summoned by Jack Patti and Robert Neil as Patti and Neil went to the Chapin street address when Archer failed to arrive for dinner. Unable to get an answer at the door they entered and were met by a wave of heat. Firemen said Archer apparently fell asleep with a space heater turned on full, the heat and flames using up all the oxygen in the house.
