Deputies found three boys ages 5 18 months and a two month old girl dead at Wiley M Thrailkill Sr home. Woman Tells Of Role In Escape Of Five Convicts
Mrs Edd Sheets recalls her brief, unwilling role in the Ashe County prison escape. While alone with her sick daughter, she watched the convict truck pass and later saw five inmates seize guard William Handy, disarm him, and force guards Judd Jones and Handy into the truck.
