Brady, 40, East South, slid from East Main to William Street, striking a mailbox. Brady’s damage $20. mailbox undamaged.
A two car collision on Route 19 south of Erie in Waterford Township left Meadville resident Margaret Bergamasco dead in hospital after a brain injury and multiple internal injuries. Rose Gallo, 46, also of Meadville, died later of head injuries. The drivers Wanda Justin and Ollie Dobson, both injured, faced fractures and lacerations. Vehicles damaged totaled $4,000.
Corry Police Chief Harley Drake announced a winter parking ban on the east side of South Center Street from Pleasant to Church streets to reduce accidents on the steep grade. The no parking rule covers both sides during winter, including church lots and Raymond plant employees, starting tomorrow.

It cites malnutrition, stress, and reduced opportunities while endorsing birth spacing. the Roman Catholic Church may oppose artificial methods but allows rhythm method in some cases. The statement was adopted by the association’s 1624 governing council.
Clymer residents voted 431 to 7 for a new school construction program costing about 700000. The plan includes an eight room addition to Clymer Central School and a new Findley Lake elementary school. A man named James Covington posed as a medical student at Newark's Martland Medical Center. He worked six weeks in emergency and other departments before his deception was uncovered, then vanished after a confrontation about his transcript and record.
Two deer hunters Samuel Gulati and Robert Vera, missing since yesterday, were found in freezing weather near Jamestown. Gulati, 19, and Vera, 20, suffered frozen feet. Vera required stretcher transport to Jamestown Hospital. Earlier the party of five had located three other hunters, making the search challenging amid a vast swamp.
State Police from the loreal barracks investigated crashes yesterday blamed on slick roads. At 3:30 p.m. Roy Groves of Snegertown in a Hatheway Bakery vehicle pulled from a driveway and collided with William Carter’s car two miles south of Spartansburg on Route A0, total damage listed as zero. At 4:38 p.m. David Hahn, 19, of Spartanaburg spun out on Cuillia road one half mile north of Corry and hit David Bayle, 22, of 8, D. 3, Corry. Hahn’s damage $40, Bayle’s $250.
