Police Withdraw Charges In Corry One Car Crash

City police yesterday withdrew charges against Franklin D. Babcock after further investigation into a one car crash early Saturday. Babcock had faced reckless driving charges after his car overturned near West Main and Union, pinning him under the vehicle. He told officers brakes failed and that he rolled the car at Esso Hall rather than negotiate two sharp curves. Chief Harley Drake said brakes were checked and found nonfunctional. Babcock, who bought the car the day of the crash, was treated at Chaery Memorial Hospital and discharged.

Bowen pleads guilty to drunk driving after Route 6 arrest
