Janes Beck, 31, of Bear Lake Route 1, was treated at Corry Memorial Hospital for a gunshot wound to the right foot after a 422 caliber rifle discharged while he tried to remove a bullet clip. The clip stuck and tripped the trigger during target practice nearby. Henry Jaquith, Warren County game protector, will investigate today.
Irene Gibbons, 60, famed dress designer for movie stars, fell from the 10th floor of a Hollywood hotel yesterday. Married to renowned writer Eliot Gibbons, she was described by police as a prominent figure in the fashion world.

An early morning crash near Foxburg took the life of Gaylord L. Eakin, 39, of Kennerdell Venango County. His death occurred at the scene after a head on collision with a tree. Local authorities reported no other occupants were involved.
