Erie November 18 Miss Nellie Marsink aged 51 died at St Vincent's Hospital from injuries after being struck by an automobile Sunday night while walking to church. Police Chief Hestrid identified the driver as Fred Berry of Canton, Ohio, and said the circumstances were under investigation. Berry was not held. Coroner Warren W. Wood cited internal injuries as the cause of death.

89 year old Fhirry Culbertson of North Silver City, employed by the railroad, lost part of his right foot in a rail accident at the West End yard. In Punxsutawney Pennsylvania on November 13 a woman in a wrecked trolley car gave birth to a son while her 21 year old daughter died in flames. The mother Mrs Frank Muri survived with injuries while her daughter Marie perished. Firemen and a welder aided rescue as the wreckage burned and a hospital treated the newborn and mother. The Matis family from Ringgold has six other children.
Jamestown N. D. resident Stilson, body found near a highway wreck near Gold Beach Oregon, was shipping to Jamestown for burial. He had been missing 11 days after the crash and left a diary of brief daily notes. The wrecked car lay within 100 feet of the road, discovered four days after his last entry. he died from internal injuries and a broken pelvis.
Former cabinet member Henry J. Stimson, age 77, has been confined at home in Westills near Huntington after a serious heart attack. His wife reported his condition has progressively improved over several weeks of recuperation.
A long standing farm home in the Sparta District on Route 0 near Hills was destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon. The blaze swept the stone and timber dwelling, with one son escaping to warn neighbors as Sparta firefighters fought the flames amid limited water supply. Pfc. David Arthur Johnson, 30, on furlough after three years in the Army, was killed while hunting in Blaine township. His 12 gauge shotgun discharged as he set the weapon, blowing off the top of his head. Deputy Coroner G. W. Mooney ruled the death accidental. He was survived by his wife and five children.
