Invie Pardon's Appeal Set For November Hearing
The State Board of Pardons will hear Invie and several Erie county cases on November 20 and 21. Among those slated are Martin Farrell and Francis Wileg, both slated for electrocution in the Kidnap Murder of William Weiss. Edward Heuer Dies at Erie After Illness

J. Gunnoe forestry foreman at a Civilian Conservation Camp was found lynched on a Jackson County farm four miles south of Ripley Ohio. State troopers and county authorities arrived for an intensive search for the slayers as no motive or suspects were identified. Jim Willett, a farmer, discovered Gunnoe’s burning body about 400 feet from his home late last night.

Former Chinese war lord Sun Fang slain by female assassin
Sun Zhuan Fang once warlord of Kaing and foe of Generalissimo Chieng Kai-Shei was killed in a Tientsin Buddhist temple while praying. The assassin, Shih Shien-Chiao, 30, said she acted to avenge her father’s death in a Shantung battle decades earlier.
