A 17 year old Lake City youth refused treatment after a crash on Sundback road five miles south of Spartansburg around 1 am. William Kimmy driver and Larry Taylor 17 of Girard were injured and both taken to area hospitals with Kimmy later transferred to St. Vincent's in Erie. Police: Kimmy lost control on a right curve, car veered off road and struck a large pine tree. Damage estimated at $250.

Sauna Club Opens At YMCA Today
About 50 Corry residents toured the new Sauna Club at the YMCA as the facility opened to the public. The guided tours covered the sauna bath, massage, exercise, snooze and shower rooms with an exit to the swimming pool. A two story barn on John J. Kirsch’s farm in North East suffered a $40,000 blaze early Saturday. Firefighters from Greenfield and nearby towns fought the stubborn fire as 12,000 bales of hay and other equipment were lost. Sixty cows were moved to safety and auctioned that afternoon. The cause is listed as undetermined.

Three Halloween Incidents Reported In Weekend
Police say three incidents marred a safe Halloween weekend. A disturbance from youths in a light green 1964 or 1965 pickup with New York plates near 162 Ohio Street, a damaged boat at 143 Ohio Street, and a rock thrown through a car door near First Methodist Church were reported Saturday night. A pop machine glass was also broken outside the Corry Car Wash at 309 East Main Street.
