Postmasters Plan Dispensing Veterans Bonus By Mail
About seventy postmasters met in Erie with Postal Inspector Dugen Gallagher to announce distribution plans for veterans bonus payments. Many Injured In Auto Accidents Over Week End
Several persons were injured but none seriously in a series of automobile accidents in the area over the weekend. Weeks and Mae Baheast of the city suffered minor facial injuries and cuts after a collision near the wardhead railroad bridge east of Youngsville. A Sheffield party narrowly escaped serious injuries when their car left the highway west of Wrightsville and rolled over several times, bruised but not badly hurt. Raymond Snell of North East escaped serious injury when his car left the Corry Findley Lake road at a curve last evening, tipping over with the wheels in the air. A Union City youth driving toward Spartansburg encountered a curve near Lowville on the Wattsburg North East road, resulting in cuts and bruises but no serious harm.

The body was discovered about 6:00 AM by workers en route to their jobs. He is survived by his wife two daughters and a son. The deceased had recently resided in Cleveland and had worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad. His body was removed to Vandergrift for burial.
