Navy Mothers Club elects officers at Marion Street meeting
Corry Navy Mothers Club members and their husbands met at Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Loveland's Marion Street home for a screen dinner and business session. Mrs. Douglas Rozelle Sr. presided as commander and officers were installed including Mrs. Rozelle, first vice commander, Mrs. Floyd Dougherty, second vice president, and other key posts. Bernard Wingert from the Warren County Agricultural extension office spoke at the Columbus Grange meeting in the Columbus Community Building about the Sparks project. He showed slides on the topic while two membership applications were sent to the committee. Laurence Miller read the legislative report as the group decided to buy 12 tables and 100 chairs. Dessert was provided by Mrs. Walter J. Thoms and Mrs. Harold Ayers.
