Bryan Crocker, 46, a Sherman area farmer, was hospitalized in Corry with a gunshot wound to the right arm from an accidental discharge while hunting in the woods near Sherman early this morning. He was moved to the hospital a few hours later and doctors reported his condition as serious but hopeful for the arm.

Meadville May 8 Aged couple Mr and Mrs James Carmin were rescued by firemen as the Carmin Hotel a frame structure at Convenut Lake near here burned. Property loss estimated at 20000. The fire started from a defective chimney on the second floor and the second floor was a mass of flames when responders arrived. The Carmins were trapped by dense smoke and carried to safety. Tragedy on Lottsville Farm Ends Life in Despondent Night
Mrs Irene Sherman wife of Lewie Sherman a well known Lottsville farmer ended her life with a self infliced gunshot wound on the Lottsville farm after a period of mental distress. Coroner Ex Lowrey ruled death by own action. She was formerly Irene Spelz McIntyre daughter of Mrs John Spety Miles Run, and leaves two daughters Myrs and Martha McIntyre along with several siblings. Services planned at the Tate home on Wilson Hall.
