A early morning blaze at the 117 year old Canandaigua Inn left at least three dead and seven missing with 14 hospitalized. Firemen found two charred bodies among the rubble and a third man died of a heart attack after fleeing the hotel. The fire, breaking out on the top floor, engulfed the four story building within 20 minutes as residents and former VA hospital patients were among occupants. More than 150 firemen from up to 20 miles away battled the blaze for hours with flames seen for miles.
