Corry Man Listed Missing In Inn Blaze

Firemen continuing search of the 117 year old Canandaigua Inn in Canandaigua New York for victims after a blaze. Missing include Edward Higley 55 of 126 Park Street an outpatient at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Five residents are listed as missing with two known dead and no official report until debris search ends. Higley walked daily from the inn to the hospital for treatment of a service connected disability.

CAHS Students To Study Tots In Pre School

Corry Area High School will run a "Study in Child Development" called Sleepy Hollow Pre-School for 3 to 5 year olds starting late April. Two Little Words Stall Violation Hearing

A zoning hearing in Corry was paused as District Justice Porter Auer clarified that the term alderman may be waived and the proceeding could proceed under a district justice. Detective Turns Up Tachometer Thief in Local Case

Local man Potocki helped solve a larceny when a youth bought back a tachometer from Gates and returned it to police. Gates, 19, of R.D. 3 Corry, was arraigned before District Justice Porter Auer on one count of larceny and released on $1 bond with an April 5 hearing set.

Blood Drive Progress At Corry YMCA

Red Cross blood drive at the Corry YMCA collected 102 pints yesterday, toward a 1970-71 goal of 40 pints per fiscal year? and a total of 175 pints to date. The drive sees 29 new donors, including 14 under 21, with eight from Area High School.
