Ripley Burglary Attempt Fails at Local Plant
Burglars attempted to crack a safe at the R. C. McAteer Co cher ry plant in Ripley yesterday morning. The safe was moved from its place and found wrecked in the middle of the floor. President Frank Walser said thieves stole about 8 to 6 rom fin office desk before failing to open the safe. Chautauqua County sheriff deputies investigated the break in.
