Schoonmaker presided. other defendants, including Floyd Trautman, George B. Trautman, and Mike Witko, were paroled for two years and ordered to pay costs after admitting charges tied to unregistered distilleries in Somerset and Mercer counties.
Harrisburg report says only state legislation can end industrial homework in Pennsylvania where processing occurs in workers homes. Edward N. The $10,000 claim of Warren, Pennsylvania, world war veteran Clarence H. Wilkinson for benefits from a war risk insurance policy was non-suited in federal court. Judge Robert M. Gibson ruled the government was not obligated to compensate Wilkinson for alleged permanent disability after discharge when he could not meet premium payments.
