Sharon reports veteran patrolman Stanley Bombeck Jr charged with burglary after being found in front of a store safe. He was jailed on 5000 bond after arraignment, intoxicated at the time, with three men seen loitering nearby. Bombeck previously aided in a fur store burglary sting five years earlier.
Glenwood girls defeated Corry in a Friday Hireiies pool meet across cadets seconds and thirds despite Corry producing multiple first place finishes including Becky Summerville in the 100-yard freestyle relay. Debuts and relay results for preps juniors reflect Glenwood dominance in most events.
