In Horse Pennsylvania a man hanged himself after leaving a note and calling for his wife and neighbors. Subert and Mrs Neubert were involved as the tragedy unfolded near their home on Garnyn Street. Coroner Hawley opened the case and neighbors assisted as authorities investigated the aftermath and Mrs Neubert’s testimony about the events.
United States Department of Agriculture will conduct a soil survey of Lewia and Gilmer counties. A field party will stay for several weeks and obtain farmer permission to bore. Data collected will be used to map soils and related features of the two counties including agriculture trust coal oil and gas.

Carranza’s strength and debts to remain firm, with possible occupation of Mexico City within a week. Red Cross aid shipments to Mexico City are planned, with US guarantees for delivery, risk if Carranza intercepts.
Salamanca council approves paying $20,000 to acquire the East Salamanca Water Co. plant. Papers to transfer may be executed in Rochester today, with the city operating the system under Superintendent H. Roller. The $20,000 comes from a $40,000 bond issue approved years ago to take over the water works and fund extensions and a new 18 inch main from the reservoir to West State.
Brie Pennsylvania June 4 Richard Mack a 64 year old Waterford timer at Logan's hospital Cambridge Sprlings lies badly bruised with a bullet wound in his left lung after an attack by his nephew Karl Macks 21 and Smory Eaton 20 Mack said he was assaulted Wednesday and police report no further developments as Mack recovers in hospital while Emory Weston and others face charges and the county jail await word on his condition.
