Knights Templar Service At First Methodist Church

Yesterday morning at an early hour the Clarence Commandery No 61 Knights Templar held a special Ascension Service at the First Methodist Church. The Knights of the Corry Commandery attended in a body and a fitting program with fine music. Rev Shaw gave a dramatic sermon on Christian night hood. Mr dues M Wrights long piece A Soldier of the Grass drew praise. The new organ pleased the congregation during the service. Friday evening Mr Smith of Pittsburgh gave a fine organ recital to a large audience via a wire connected from Mrs L L Hiss on West Pleasant Street, a notable church supporter enjoying the revital.

Pennsy Car Thieves Captured Near Westfield

Tragic House Fire Takes Verne Smiths Infant Son

A three year old, son of Verne and Mery Smith, died in a fire that destroyed their Alden farm home. Fire began around four, flames reached the upper floor, neighbors assisted, the child’s remains were found about six, likely starting from matches left in a lower room.
