Erie DA drops election code charge against 18 candidates
Erie County District Attorney Michael Palmisano dismissed charges of election code violations against 18 candidates who failed to file expense accounts for the May primary. He said none would be in office, making the issue moot, and noted half had since itemized receipts. A county official urged clearer future filing instructions for elections.
