Johnstown Pa July 17 Eighteen men posted bond before Commissioner Ray Patton South awaiting a preliminary hearing September 5 on charges of violating the prohibition law. The Betsy Ann, Pittsburgh flag flying, lost by a half length to the Tom Greene in a near neck and neck race up the Ohio to New Richmond. The Tom Greene earned the right to race the Chris Greene on July 25 for river speed honors.
