In New Orleans on July 18 officials from the Public Service Company reported an attempt to dynamite the Southern Gas and Fuel Company pipeline that serves the city. A patrolman found thirteen sticks of dynamite under the main line, failing to explode due to a faulty fuse. Police arrested two striking car men for allegedly attacking a man.
