Edinboro's Don Childs, 10, earned NAIA All-District 18 second team honors for 1975 76. He was a standout last night as the Fighting Scots fell to Cheyney State in a pennsylvania conference title bid. McComb Fieldhouse hosts District Playoff action Monday with Point Park and Clarion winner awaiting.

Cheyney State, ranked 12th among small colleges, edged Edinboro 78 77 to claim an eighth Pennsylvania Conference title. Milton Colston Jeff Huckerson and Dana Clark sparked with a three guard attack. Colston led with 19 points while Huckerson and Clark added 18 each. Edinboro guard Don Childs topped scorers with 20. Gary Stanton had 19 and 17 rebounds for the losers. Edinboro protested a late call, but Cheyney secured the win and a NCAA Division II Eastern berth with a 22 4 record.
